For picking, the shuttle brings the pallet back to the lane entrance so the forklift can retrieve it. All operations—loading, unloading, and counting—are controlled by remote control or a warehouse management system.
This system greatly increases storage density by reducing forklift aisles and allowing deeper pallet channels.
